The guiding light of leadership on solid rock

I'm often asked why I chose a lighthouse as the log for my business and this community, so I thought I'd explain:
Leaders are like a lighthouse, one of the jobs of being a leader is to guide others, particularly in times of difficulty or turbulence. The leader communicates the vision and shines their light on the direction the followers should go. The leader is positioned on solid rock, standing firm in good times and difficult times. When followers cannot see in the dark, the leader is a beacon, a known figurehead, steadfast and committed to the same objectives. When followers can clearly see, the leader is ever present, providing assurance and stability and safety.
